Pretty awesome looking, but where are the molars? Beautiful rendering, however!

I just love the idea that this is possible. Good job.

This would need a few more muscles to fully function as far as chewing motions. Premolars and molars might make it look more realistic, too, though you do have the right amount of teeth in the arch.

Thanks for the info. I did go somewhat basic on the muscle and tooth structure. Most basic motions would be available with what synthetic muscular structure is available. Up, down, and side motions can easily be attained using just the 3 points of contact on the jaw.

If the artificial muscles have the capacity to do more than what the typical human masseter does on its own (elevation of the jaw), then yes, that would work. The more inferiorly located muscle might help depression of the mandible better if it were attached to the hyoid bone, though. It looks like it's going to the tongue instead. It's still a nice 3D render. It's just that I study about the oral and maxillofacial region of the skull. x_x

haha this is the first one ive ever entered so im turning out my best. Even if you dont win though its good to get your art out there on something that people will look at and notice. So if you got anything at all id say enter it anyway for people to look at.
